Video: Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pools

Check out “Swimming Pools” by Kendrick Lamar. This track was released July 31, 2012 and has been getting a lot of radio play. This is the second single to his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city (coming in October 2012). Although this is his debut album, Kendrick is definitely building a buzz with this track. Very different from other rappers and songs out today, this track seems to leave the listener with a message.

Giving insight to the issue of alcohol consumption (highs and lows) and even giving a peek into his personal life, I feel Kendrick is an up and coming game changer.

Interpretively, the video shows a man falling and being consumed by the bottle (the swimming pool of liquor), but as he falls in, he is helped out.
