Well, I gotta say, last night was pretty awesome. Got to Comedy Works in South Denver and walked straight to the VIP area just in time to enjoy some hors d’oeuvres, cheese cubes, dumplings, egg rolls, crackers, wine, cake, all pretty tasty. Got a chance to hang with my Radio Bums crew and also my KS 107.5 crew; enjoyed some laughs, talked about current situations and future endeavors. Then headed to the VIP section to view the show. Kendrick Lamar came on and put on a great show.
This was the first time I saw him perform live, and it was interesting to see what he had to bring. He definitely kept with his style, not going crazy jumping around on stage, but really keeping his composure and doing what he does.
After the show, we were able to have a meet and greet with Kendrick and snap some photos. You know how they say never meet your heroes, they usually turn out to be jerks, but not Kendrick! I introduced myself, told him I loved his work, and he was really cool about everything, shook my hand and posed with us for a pic, and even signed an autograph. Definitely down to earth guy!
