The public came to a stop on Sunday night when Beyoncé announced the Formation Wold Tour. A day before her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime, B dropped her music video to Formation.
The music video was directed by Melina Matsoukas and was filmed in New Orleans back in December. We saw a glimpse of the message that Beyoncé was trying to convey during Halftime, and many blogs and media sources have mentioned the ‘hidden’ message. The Formation music video and song go more in depth about her message which includes a political and racial dialogue. The video references Hurricane Katrina, police brutality (which has been in the forefront of media for some time now) and racism.
