Back in June, I took a little trip down south. I got booked to DJ in Dallas and was on my way to a new city with my music! While I was there, I was able to link up with a heavy hitter in the radio, mix, and nightlife scene, DJ Quickmixx Rick.

I knew about him since I had started DJing. Not sure exactly how, maybe one of his mixes made it into my hands or talk amongst other DJs, nevertheless, I knew who he was. Fast forward several years (actually more like a decade) and I was able to link with Rick on social media. Shortly after, I was booked in Dallas and I seized the opportunity to meet up with Rick, and even throw down a set with him at Club 2009! It was an awesome time, and there’s a reason why the term is coined ‘southern hospitality.’ QMR was more than hospitable, and we definitely had a great time, not only hanging out, but also rocking out together! I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, thank you for the hospitality QMR!!!

In case you don’t know who Quickmixx Rick is, I’ll give you a quick run down.

QMR was hired onto commercial radio back in 2002, and took the music scene by storm! Not only is he busy taking over radio waves on several stations, he’s rocking out nightly clubs, and collaborating with big name artists from all over. As his website bio states;
